Makeup Favs of 2015

I know that January is almost over, but I still need to wrap up 2015, and it’s better late than never, am I right? There were SO many new products to try and love last year. But somehow I managed to narrow my favorites down to 6 all-star goodies.

Kat Von D Lock-it Foundation: OK, so it’s about time that a company FINALLY releases a full-coverage foundation for us pale girls. Most pale foundations are way too yellow or way too pink for us girls who are literally snow white. One pump is really all it takes to cover my face and for the price point it is really a great product to try, just keep in mind that it will get a little bit cakey if you use a heavy hand.

Urban Decay Naked Concealer: This product was hyped so much that I wasn’t sure if I trusted the reviews. But, it’s all true. I have already repurchased it once, and I will continue restocking until something better comes along. It’s really pigmented and blends like butter (in a good way) On days that I don’t feel like putting on a full face of foundation, I blend this concealer out from my T-zone and it does the job for a naturally flawless look.

Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca: I have always been a fan of dramatic/ colorful eye makeup looks. But, I don’t have a lot of bright colors and I never know which eyeshadow singles to get. This palette is literally a dream come true. It has the entire color wheel and a mix of mattes and shimmers to make pretty much any rainbow look that your heart desires. Every single color is so pigmented and pretty (I wasn’t expecting to ever like a yellow eyeshadow. But, there’s a first time for everything.)

melted

Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Peony: The melted lipsticks are an amazing every day, long lasting lipstick. It’s a cream consistency that dries onto your lips so it won’t smudge all over you throughout the day; AND it’s extremely easy to get perfect on the first try. Unlike other liquid lipsticks it is in a squeeze tube with a sponge tip applicator making it a good “throw in your purse for touch-ups” lipstick. It is a semi-sheen natural finish and Melted Peony is in a natural pink shade which is super wearable and can be paired with almost any look.

nyx

NYX Lip Liner in Natural- This is my holy grail liner. I would even go as far as to say that this 3.99 lip liner formula is just as good as the MAC and the shade Natural is a pretty universal pinkish nude shade that is about a shade darker than my natural lip color making it a perfect base for pink or “natural” colored lipsticks.

j

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Androgyny- This formula is everything! Ever since I’ve tried this one, I’ve been wanting more. It doesn’t budge all day, and this color is a beautiful vampy mauve. I love how the applicator is super flexible and a little bit pointed to make application much easier (especially in the corners) This liquid lipstick was originally part of the limited edition holiday collection, but due to popular demand it has been added to the permanent line. (P.S. look at my cat trying to get in the first picture)

This year has been full of amazing brands emerging with the highest quality of products, I’m honestly so excited to see what the big “trendy” products will be this year.
