Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation Review

I am always on the hunt for my “holy grail” foundation, so I end up trying a new foundation every month or so. This past month, I have been using the new Tarte Rain Forest Of The Sea Water Foundation, and it’s been a real winner. When they released this product I was immediately drawn to it because it looks light and refreshing for the warmer months and I decided that it needed to be in my life.

When the weather starts to warm up a little bit, I like to go for a lighter foundation to avoid being “cakey” and give my skin a dewier look. This foundation has a non-chemical SPF 15 which is great to protect your skin from the summer sun, without the harsh chemicals soaking into your skin (and its gluten-free).

Since I have pretty dry skin, sometimes its hard for me to find a product that will keep my skin hydrated (especially in the Texas sun) I like how this foundation has enough coverage to even out my skin tone, but is still looks like my skin and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing anything at all, and wears really well throughout the day. I do feel like I need a little concealer to create that flawless look. But, overall, I think that it makes my skin look really good, and I’m happy with it.

The bottle is really pretty, but I don’t find it very practical. It comes in a glass bottle which I would like if I wasn’t planning on travelling (so now I need to find something else for that) Instead of a pump, they opted for a glass dropper. I’m not sure how I feel about it, because I like how I can just put it straight on my beauty blender without worrying about contaminating it on my hand. But, I think it will be hard to get product out when I start to run out.

In conclusion, I really like this foundation and its good for those of y’all who have dryer skin that need extra moisture, and like the natural look. It works really well on my skin and I highly recommend it!
