As I have mentioned about 3 billion times, I went to Ireland this summer. So, I (obviously) needed to go into Boots and check it out for myself. I follow a ton of UK bloggers/vloggers and they’re always talking about brands that we just don’t get in the states, and being the beauty junkie I am, I needed to pick up a few things.
I picked the highlighting palettes in Precious Metals (left) and Solstice (right). I’ve been hearing about these palettes everywhere these past few months, so when I saw them in store I HAD to jump on them (not to mention it was buy one, get one half off) Overall, I love how they come with a mix of cream highlighters and powders so you can layer them depending on how glowy you want to be. I prefer Solstice because the colors are more unique, and they make more of a shine. Whereas, one of the shades in precious metals has a bit of a chunkier glitter, which isn’t my cup of tea.
This foundation is really appealing to me as a summer foundation because it is a light coverage “serum” foundation, and it is exactly that. I’ve used it almost everyday since I got it and I’m impressed, it makes it look like my skin with just a tint of color to even out my skin tone. To get a little bit more coverage I mixed it with my Kat Von D Lock It Foundation and it was absolutely perfect. It blends out really well, and for the price (11 Euro) it is worth picking it up.
I honestly grabbed these because they were only 5 Euros and I thought they would be good to throw in my makeup bag because they’re so small. The blush is in the shade tickled pink, I think this shade is perfect for summer because its a pinky coral that is pretty universal on all skin tones. The Highlighter is in the shade Pearl Sheen, I think it would be a good dupe for the Clinique highlighting stick. It makes a good base for other highlighters, but I noticed that it faded off my face throughout the day (but it’s small enough to be carried around for touch ups)
Have any of y’all tried these products? What do you love from boots?
