Urban Decay One and Done

Every summer, I am shocked at how hot it actually gets here in Texas. It’s the kind of sweltering heat that makes you feel like your face is literally melting off of your face. This makes wearing any type of heavy/full coverage foundation basically impossible. So recently, I’ve been searching high and low for a foundation that will last through the heat of the day.

This time around, I picked up the Urban Decay One And Done. I actually hadn’t heard too much about it, but the claims on the box seemed promising. It says it’s “An oil-free, hybrid complexion cream that instantly and completely blurs imperfections, evens out skin tone for a result that looks natural.”

I have to say that this foundation is very lightweight and light coverage, but paired with a concealer, it covers everything you need while still looking and feeling like your skin with the added bonus of an SPF 20.

When you use this product, you don’t need to bother with a primer (I still put a moisturizer on first to give my skin a little extra moisture). Over time this foundation says it will minimize your pores, and it has amazing staying power. So it’s super fast to apply. I just pump a few squirts onto my beauty blender and dot it all over my face.

My first impression wasn’t very good at all. I had trouble getting the product out of the pump (just squeeze the end of the tube while you pump to get it to start flowing). Then, when it did come out, it looked slightly orange and not my skin tone at all. But, for the sake of giving it a fair shot, I used it anyways. As it oxidized and settled into my skin I really noticed it start to work. It adjusted to blend into my skin, and my skin looked amazing, and it actually looked like I wasn’t wearing much makeup at all.

I think this is the perfect summer foundation, and I would recommend this product to anyone living in a warmer location, or anyone who wants to try a lighter foundation. Let me know what you’re loving for your summer foundation/ tinted moisturizer! I want to try them all!
