We all know that one of the most “iconic” fall styles is a good bold lip. And, as someone who has spent many months (and dollars) on finding the perfect shade, we all know that there is no such thing as the one perfect shade when you’re addicted to makeup. So, here we have my favorite 9 lipsticks for fall (plus 2 lip liners).
I have categorized the lipsticks into 2 categories. One group is the more mauve/nude shades, and the other is the berry/vampier lip colors.
Let’s start off with the nudes. From left to right my favorites are:
This is kind of a cult classic. It’s the perfect “my lip but better” color that blends into pretty much every nudeish lip color. I’ve already been through several pencils.
The formula for this lipstick is BEYOND amazing. I find myself reaching for it a lot more than some of my more pricey lipsticks. It’s super comfortable and long lasting, and the price range makes me want to go out and buy every single one.
I reviewed this product earlier this year, and I talked about how the formula isn’t my favorite. It’s very dry on the lips which can get kind of uncomfortable throughout the day. But, the color payoff on this shade is amazing and it lasts forever on the lips so it’s perfect for long days at the office.
This shade is described as a soft lilac, which I think it stunning. It’s kind of like a gateway lipstick for anyone who loves a nude lip but wants to experiment with different colors.
This is my favorite mauve color of the year (so far) the formula is longer lasting than a traditional lipstick, but not quite like a liquid lipstick. It’s super comfortable on the lips and doesn’t dry out. It’s perfect for anyone who isn’t quite into the liquid lipstick trend but wants something to last a little bit longer.
Who doesn’t love a good bold lip?
I am obsessed with this formula. When they say it will stay all day, they are not kidding around. The only thing that makes it budge is fried food. So, it’s a lipstick and a diet all in one!
Ditto, I also love this color. It’s a vampy dark red, without going into the purple color group so it looks amazing on every skin tone.
I have almost used this entire lipstick up. Which, as any makeup lover knows, is pretty much impossible. Before I was into liquid lipsticks, I was all about this formula because it lasts a really long time and feels comfortable.
I thought I would throw in my fav lip liner as well. This color goes well with basically every berry shade on earth and makes a good base for the lipstick. I usually coat my entire lips with this pencil when I want a super dramatic lip.
This is a color that looks scary in the tube. I got it as a sample and it went immediately into my drawer because it looks like a basic black lipstick. I am so glad I finally swatched it because it is the most beautiful true berry color without a strong red tone. and as an added bonus, it makes your teeth look super white.
