Day to Night with Naked Basics

The first Naked Basics palette has been an MVP in my collection basically since it came out (which is obvious when you see how dirty it is, even after I cleaned it for this picture). It’s a perfect size, has the perfect colors, is all matte, and is SO versatile making it a staple in everyone’s collections. I normally use it to blend out eyeshadows and help make the most out of any other “incomplete” palettes. But, since it’s party season, I thought I’d show y’all how I would take a day time look and turn it into a night out look all using the same basic palette because it’s a lot easier than you would think.

Daytime:

daytime-naked

I kept the daytime look SUPER easy and natural I blended “Naked 2” (the lighter brown) color all over my crease with a big blending brush to add a bit of definition around my eyes, and then a smidge of “Faint” (the dark brown) into the outer half of my crease and my lower lash line. I used my finger and dabbed “W.O.S” (the cream color) all over my lid to even out the coloring, and lastly, I put “Venus” (shimmery white) in my inner corner and right under my brow bone to wake my eyes up.

If you’re curious, here are the rest of the products used to make this daytime look:

Face: Too Faced Born this way, Naked Concealer, Nyx Blush in Taupe (contour), Tarte Blush in Dollface Becca Highlighter in moonstone

Lips: MAC lipstick in Lovelorn & Buxom lipgloss in Sophia

Eyes: Rimmel Nude Liner (waterline) & Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Evening:

night-naked

To take my day look into the night, I liberally added more of “faint” (darker brown) into my crease and blended it up and out into a more exaggerated cat eye look. Then added “crave” (black) onto my outer corner and blended it over my lash line to act as eyeliner (without having to add eyeliner) To finish it up I added black liner into my waterline and added some false lashes to the outer corner, again to give me the cat eye effect without worrying about eyeliner) and adding a darker lipstick.

Products used:

Everything from the daytime except:

Lips: Bite Cosmetics lip pencil in Rhubarb

False lashes: (on my eyes) Ardell individual lashes (in picture because I didn’t have any individuals left) Oh my lash in Chelsea

See how easy it is? Now you don’t have to stress out when you have to go to an event immediately after work. You can throw a makeup bag with the basics palette, eyelashes, and a dark lipstick and call it a day! Let me know what you guys think! do you love this palette? Do you want to see any reviews for any of these products?

    1. First of all, thank you so much (I’m totally not flawless but I appreciate the sentiment lol) and yes this mascara ruined all other mascaras for me because they just can’t live up to it! Rhubarb is reddish with a brown undertone so it looks super natural
