How to Beat Black Friday

Black Friday is this week, which means 1) we’re going to be thoroughly entertained with net weeks headlines and 2) being the shopaholics we are, we’re going SHOPPING. I know that there are a ton of people that look down on black Friday shoppers because TBH the discounts aren’t that great. What is great is the atmosphere (and the people watching) I am all about the hecticness and adrenaline that comes with the biggest holiday shopping day of the year.

What do you need?

It’s better to narrow it down ahead of time. Why would you fight through the electronics, when you’re all about the clothes sales and vice-versa. This is a good day to get your hands on the big ticket items that you’ve been lusting after for a while- I’m lookin at you KitchenAid.

Can you get it online?

Be sure to make some quick rounds through your e-mail and favorite online shopping spots to see if there are any online only sales or coupon codes. If all else fails, and you don’t get what you want, don’t worry. You still have Cyber Monday.

Make a game plan

It’s not a day that your want to be running around all over the place. Plus, parking anywhere will be a total nightmare. So, might as well pick one or two locations that have a majority of what you need and call it a day (plus you probably won’t have time for anything else after you’ve waited in line all day)

Be safe

Last, but certainly not least, please be safe out there. It’s all fun and games to poke fun at the crazy headlines. But, these crazy people are really out there and it’s really important that you take care of yourself, recognize dangerous situations and get out of them. Remember: No object is more valuable than your safety.

Good luck and have fun this Black Friday! I can’t wait to see what you guys got!

  1. Oh i get sooo pumped for Black Friday too, like you said the people watching is great. And to be honest I could be at a Target at any time of the day so come midnight you better believe I’ll happily be at Target shopping! ha But I’m definitely also a huge fan of Cyber Monday- shopping online is my expertise!
