Have a Perfect Hair Day With Living Proof (PHD review)

A few weeks ago, I came across the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day product line, and let me tell you, this could possibly be my new favorite shampoo and conditioner (which means a lot because I try A LOT of shampoos). The moment I saw that it would keep my hair cleaner for longer, I knew it would be a real game changer. This line is catered towards the person who wants it all. Their patent molecule (OFPMA) is able to give you volume, while smoothing the frizz, while it repels the dirt, AND heals your hair from damage. Plus, it smells amazing- they claim that it’s a light citrus but it smells more like cream soda to me.

For all those skeptics (like me) I can tell you from personal experience that the first time I used the shampoo and conditioner, people were asking me all day if I had just gotten my hair cut and colored, but it was just clean. I can usually go about 3-4 days before I have to wash my hair again but I made it to 5 days (I could’ve gone longer but I wanted to do a different style) I noticed that I didn’t use as much dry shampoo and my hair just looked clean. If you are not quite used to sulfate free shampoos that don’t lather as much as the ones you are used to, I recommend shampooing your hair twice to make sure that you are getting the full benefits of the shampoo.

The only thing I would change about this product line is that it doesn’t do anything for tangley hair. Normally I would just run my fingers through my hair in the shower to de-tangle it (because I have REALLY tangley hair) but I had to use an oil treatment (the one I’ve been using recently is the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Styling Treatment Oil) and a Wet Brush to get it nice and smooth. It’s not a big deal to brush it out- but I wish the conditioner did more than just heal the ends.

Overall, I love the shampoo and conditioner and I’m going to keep using them because they work for my hair type (fine but dense wavy hair) and it really does extend the time between my shampoos (which I love because I hate washing and drying my hair)

Let me know what your favorite shampoo and conditioner is!
